Internet in Education
Maymester 2019
Internet in education is highly connected to the Connected learning framework. Dr. Fisk provided lessons and content that is highly connected to all three learning spheres. The framework suggests that interests, opportunities, and relationships provide for an optimal learning experience internet in education allows students to pursue something they are passionate about. Students are encouraged to use their interests to create a module of learning. This allows students minds to become invested in their own learning and produce a highly effective learning outcome. Students were encouraged to seek out new information about their interest and become a low-level expert. The ownership that was produced in the modules created confidence and they want/need to complete the best project I could. Candidates demonstrate the ability to select and use technological resources and processes to support student learning and to enhance their pedagogy.

During the Fall semester of 2017, I embarked on my journey of Instructional Technology. Under Dr. Sanghoon Park, I learned about the start of technology used in educational settings. This course opened my eyes to technology use outside of the classroom and in the world, I found myself interested in different things that I had never thought of before. I was able to discover new ways to incorporate these newly acquired skills in my classroom. Augmented reality was something I had little information or prior knowledge about. I was drawn to the idea of using Augmented reality to help connect my English language learners to ideas that they have no prior knowledge of. This video shows my ability to correctly bring technological resources to my students. My students were very excited to help with this project, and I have continued to use this technology into the new school year.
Current Trends Instruct Tech
FALL 2017
In the course Psychological Foundations of Education, I explored reading with interactive text programs to see if it improved student reading skills. As perscriptive programs become more common in my school district I wanted to investigate if these technologies were appropriate for my students. These technologies were being fought by parents and other groups. These technologies that were reviewed in this mini research paper were things that I had access to in my district and I invite you to review these technologies before implementing reading technologies into your classroom.
